For the October 17th March on the Media
we have decided that while it would be ideal to focus on a more
local media outlet, we have not received enough information to
properly evaluate any local media. Therefore we will go ahead
and join the Cincinnati 9-12 Project with their march on the
Cincinnati Enquirer. Here is the information:
-
What: Can you hear us NOW?
When: October 17, 2009 11:00 AM
Where:
Cincinnati Enquirer 312 Elm Street Cincinnati, OH 45202 |
www.cincinnati912project.com
In keeping with the theme
established during the September 12, 2009 Taxpayer March on
Washington, Operation Can You Hear Us Now (www.operationcanyouhearusnow.com)
has been established to further unite fellow Americans around a
myriad of causes to assist in taking back our country and restoring
our constitution. The first such cause is Media Bias which will be
addressed by hundreds of thousands (a couple hundred if you’re a
liberal) of patriots across the United States in the form of
protests against news organizations on Saturday October 17, 2009. In
response, the Cincinnati 912 Project, along with a number of other
local organizations, is organizing a protest in front of the
Cincinnati Enquirer on Saturday October 17, 2009 from 11-1pm and we
would greatly appreciate your support in our fight to restore truth
in the media.
Our decision to protest the Cincinnati Enquirer
was made because we felt it was the low hanging fruit in Cincinnati
given it relies heavily on subscriptions to drive general and
advertising revenue. The other television news organizations require
much more effort due to the need to impact each one of their large
advertisers before making enough of a difference to effect change.
Our goal with the Cincinnati Enquirer is to convince them of the
need to report the truth or convince them that not doing so will
result in bankruptcy as a result of subscription cancellations. If
successful with our efforts against the Cincinnati Enquirer, it
should send a strong message to other news organizations that we are
serious about our demands for the truth.
In order to
accomplish the above goals, we need your support. Please join us on
Saturday October 17, 2009 from 11-1pm in front of the Cincinnati
Enquirer located at 312 Elm Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 (map).
Some ideas for protest signs are included below and we ask that you
keep your signs positive and focused on media bias. We do not want
to skew our message by including any other topics or issues such as
healthcare, cap and trade, Obama, Pelosi etc. The main themes for
our protest are 1.) Impact of Bias on Subscriptions 2.) Can You Hear
Us Now? For the Subscription focus, we would really like to have
some patriots in attendance who have recently (within the past 3-6
months) canceled their subscriptions and for them to include a sign
that states something along the lines of “Former Subscriber –
Canceled MM/YYYY.” We need to drive home the message that we will
cancel our subscriptions and we will encourage all of our family and
friends to do the same if they do not start reporting the truth. |
